In my last post, we talked about the power of optimism. But let’s clarify - optimism doesn’t mean ignoring your feelings or brushing things aside. Otherwise, that’s just toxic positivity!
Toxic positivity is when we force ourselves to be positive and dismiss any negative emotions we have. It’s about pretending everything is fine, even when it’s not.
So instead of masking your emotions or sweeping feelings under the carpet, it’s important to face them, to feel them, and to acknowledge them. Give yourself space to process. Knowing that it’s okay, it’s okay to have negative emotions.
True optimism means being hopeful while still being honest with yourself. Embrace your emotions, both the highs and lows. Find a balance that supports both your mental health and your positive outlook.

Did you know that hypnoanesthesia is backed by extensive research and offers unique advantages?

Unlike conventional methods, hypnoanesthesia empowers patients by tapping into their own mental resources, fostering a profound sense of control and self-efficacy during procedures. Why is it important to allow our emotions flow?
Let’s delve into this. Our three primary negative emotions - anger, sadness and fear - often stem from unresolved issues within ourselves (e.g. guilt), with others (e.g. anger), with situations (e.g. feeling stuck), or with the unknown (e.g. anxiety and fear). These emotions become stagnant when we fail to process them effectively, keeping us trapped in the past or anxious about the future.
